On the edge of non reality ...... Morse's view as a passenger

Thanks for the rude emails from you and Cotton. Doesn’t Schuey have a manager
who picks up the bar tab? Anyway, I am more useless than usual tonight, been on
the F1 trip with Jaguar, strictly upper crust. I will send some photos tomorrow
because I am tired and sore from driving shifter carts. It was a long but interesting
day. Went for a screaming ride in a real D type around the circuit at Putnam Park.
The chauffeur was some kid named Justin Wilson… ever heard of him? Claims
he drives F1… he might, he and Mark Webber arrived in a helicopter while we
schlepped out there in new XJR’s and S types.  Who do they think they are
anyway?

Trans Am

They showed us hacks and scribes the new Jaguar Trans Am car… it does have a
REAL Jaguar motor, not sure about those headlights though. The exhaust note is
nice when at full chat. It ain’t Le Mans but at least Coventry has not abandoned all
enclosed body racing. I did mention to the marketing VP that sooner or later they
will have to go back to la Sarthe. Hoy Hoy!

Drink and Drivers

The scene here at the Westin is weird enough. No buzz, no security, no mobs…
left the bar last night and Schuey was sitting with a couple of people, no big deal at
all. Montoya was standing around by himself looking bored. Must have been good
for these guys, all lost in America. F1 drivers invade city while thousands sleep…

Saw McNish… he made a gesture at the mere mention of your name.

More maybe tomorrow.
