The 2009 edition of the 12 Hours of Sebring was a
memorable for a variety of reasons.....
By all reports a huge American crowd, who left the
interior raceway roads traffic free....A Kiwi who awed his
team mates with his pace and stunned the French and
Germans by stealing their pole....The first time in 19
years a Porsche was not on the podium......The return of
Risi Ferrari....A desire by all in the paddock that
beginning with the 101st ALMS race the podium
ceremonies will be cut in half and reflect 2009 and not
1979.......Wondering which course the series will use at
Miller Motorsports Park......how about just the West
Loop?......and wondering if the ALMS will be part of the
IRL weekend at Barber Motorsports Park in
2010.......great anticipation to Le Mans and the promise
of an epic battle between Peugeot and Audi - it should
be one for the ages.....and the very favorable odds of
larger fields by mid-summer especially in the P
classes.....stay tuned it is going to be a great year!
