The visit of the ALMS circus to Lime Rock Park in 2008
will go down in motorsport legend. As almost always,
the ALMS produced thrills and spills, almost to Moto
GP level and far in front of most other top line 4 wheeled
competitions.
The Audi/Porsche/Accura (or this week it should read
Accura/Porsche/Audi) battle at the front has been
simply stunning and once again it proved so at LRP.
Of course there were complaints about the track and the
surface and the.....yeah whatever, the racing speaks for
itself.
The Old Master, David Brabham stunned even the TV
commentators, never mind the rest of us, with his
audacious pass to snatch the lead on the penultimate
lap.
For Accura to win overall for the first time must have
been sweet but to do it in such style well you could see
how much it meant in the faces of the Highcroft
crew..........
Well SCP's Old Master was painting with light once
more............so enjoy the Dole Exhibition.
