The A1 Grand Prix of Nations roared into Monterey, California in March and proceeded to lay a claim to one of best set of on track battles in the long, storied history of Laguna Seca Raceway. While the A1GP will never be mistaken for the ALMS, a great many of the team personal are familiar faces to fans of sports car racing and as Kerry Morse points out, if it is at Laguna Seca, it is going to get covered. The weekend was something else. With heavy rain and snow in the surrounding coastal mountains rearing its head gaining track time was a small problem. With a break in the weather, our friend and photographer Bruce Benedict was on the move capturing this montage of colors in this race of nations. With the roar of the small but enthusiastic crowd and the rain coverd track, the rooster tails were flying with blinding spray as the cars headed up to the corkscrew and down.
