The whole affair lacked any real spark despite the bizarre bout of hysteria surrounding Sebastian Loeb's arrival by jet from wherever the WRC was strutting its stuff last week .... this must be a remote region ..... there was a real sense of Fin de Siecle with the R8's performance shackled by the ACO, maybe Henri will make it five wins but no one in the bleachers was betting against TK or Nishy .......... and no real sense of where the next big thing was coming from ..... diesel Audi's? Oh come on!!!....only the prospective Aston and Corvette battle keeps the flame burning ..... Prodrive and Pratt & Miller's Rumble in the Jungle....and even then Doug Fehan's boys were kept behind the sandbags for the whole of Sunday ........ yes, Strange Days Indeed Mamma.
